Holetown is the first British settlement established in Barbados. It was originally named Jamestown after King James I, the King of England at the time in 1625 (When Barbados was still under British ). Was after renamed Holetown because of the frequent management of ships in the very small channel located within the surrounding area of settlement. The Holetown monument represents first settlement in Barbados by England (where they landed).
