Bare Footprint Reagent Cream
The first days in the lab will be used to practice with collecting bare footprints from different individuals using the bare footprint reagent cream. To get access to the lab, a Practical Risk Assessment must be made (see appendix I), and three Health & Safety courses must be completed (see appendix II).

After practicing with collecting bare footprints, the study starts with collecting footprints from six specific participants, whose footprints have already been collected by two other investigators. The participants will be residence of the United Kingdom and over the age of 18 years. A consent form and information sheet (see appendix III and IV) will be required prior to the collection of bare footprints to enable the participants to participate anonymously in the research and to give information about the research. The participants will be asked to fill in a questionnaire to obtain information about foot irregularities, age, sex, height, weight, ethnic group

This will be done as described above. Also in this case, 12 footprints will be collected from each participant, six from each foot. The footprints will also be scanned and stored in TIFF or RAW format to measure the footprints using GIMP. Linear measurements and angle dimensions will be used as quantitative data for the database and other variables like ethnicity, age, sex etc. as qualitative data. Once all the measurements are successfully recorded, the measured image(s) will be stored in Microsoft Access Database (MAD). After this, statistical analysis will be used to interrogate the data. This will be done using ANOVA, MANOVA and PEARSON CORRELATION methods to investigate the inter and intra variations or correlations in the four different ethnic population groups (Afro-Caribbean, Chinese, Indian and Caucasian). The statistical analysis will be performed using the Statistical analysis software package

The results would be cataloged and compiled with and a mean score for each group. An analysis of variance (ANOVA) would be performed to compare the data between the three groups. Additional analysis utilizing a two-way chi-square formula to determine statistical differences between the variables of the three groups would be required utilizing the appropriate software. Associations between variables would be calculated using contingency coefficient analysis. Minimum statistical power would be set at 0.05 for Type I errors and 0.20 for Type II errors. The data scientist would be responsible for completing the data analysis once collected and cataloged.…

I collected the data from twenty males all from the Montclair State University. The results for this study could be beneficial for homeless shelters and clothe drives; for example men could come in give their height and receive a care package of goods including a pair of shoes that suit their height and size perfectly. Individuals were asked to write down (roughly) their height, along with their shoe size. The reason I say rough is because all information is subject to biased because most heights were rough estimates, along with shoe size, which truly doesn’t measure the size of ones, foot. Because with shoe size you have to consider variables such as the different shapes of the human foot; so in order to make my data as accurate as I could make it I restricted my study to males, because males and females have different shoe scales. For future studies the sources of error mentioned above should be addressed, but when taking all this information into consideration my data still resulted in a positive linear trend.…

The addition of Anthropometry data that occurs almost every year become one of the considerations to have a better system to store data or document it. This research aims to develop and create an application program that can be used to store, provide, and present a database of anthropometry for various age groups, gender, and ethnic groups. This application program is also made for the data processing that able to perform calculation for descriptive statistics, such as mean, standar deviation, and percentile data and also to perform statistics test such as normality test, uniformity test, and adequacy test. This study consists input and output design, manufacture the application programs, verification and validation of program. The creation of this program is done through four main phase : planning phase, anylisis phase, design phase, and testing phase which is based on Software Development and Life Cycle (SDLC). The results from the testing phase of this program (verification and validation) demonstrates that the program can be run in accordance with its function and also the program can perform the calculation correctly. The trial conducted against 10 of respondents and yield a positive correlation between the objectives value and preferences value. Correlation between objective value with preference vakues for ease of calculating descriptive statistics, ease of application programs in conducting the selection limits to be used for calculation, ease of application in conducting statistical test (adequacy of data), ease of application in conducting statistical test (uniformity test) is 0.423, 0.635, 0.650 and…
