Baseball Informative Speech
Do you think baseball is athletic? Do you know why its athletic? Well if you believe it's not I will give you various reasons why it is athletic. Personally I believe its athletic but, before I talk about why its athletic let me talk about a little bit of its history. The man who created the sport is Abnir Doubleday. He created the sport in 1839. In 1845 the first rules were created by the baseball club known as the knickerbockers. Even though Abnir Doubleday invented the sport people called Alexander Cartwright the father of baseball.
Baseball is athletic. It might not seem like it is but, it is. In the sport baseball you need to be able to have great stamina because you need it for running, swinging a heavy bat, and really staying focused. You also really need to use your mental strength. You need to know what's going on at all times, know what you are going to do when the ball gets to you, and know all your situations. Focus can get you an advantage

Well that's not true because if you played it yourself you would know that we aren't supposed to stand around we always have to be moving. You need to always be moving because if you just stand around other players and people will think you're lazy. You also always need to move because it keeps you going, gets you ready, and focused and being focused is very important in baseball. Baseball always requires a lot of skill. Something not everyone has, for example not a lot of “P.E” teachers don't have the rare baseball skill. So they just hate on baseball players.
So now you know how baseball is athletic. Baseball needs leg strength, arm strength for swinging heavy bats and throwing, you need great focus, and you need great hand eye coordination. So baseball is athletic. Sure on TV you might see some boring unathletic baseball players, but you are wrong. Baseball is athletic. I gave various reasons why it

Today Baseball is considered America 's national pastime. American 's began playing baseball on informal teams in the early 1800 's. At this time they had only local rules that differed from place to place. Also, at this time there were no official baseball bats for the players to use. Many used sticks as bats. That is where stick ball came from which is still played today. Baseball was based on the English game of rounders. Alexander Joy Cartwright of New York invented the modern baseball field in 1845. First, baseball is played in the summer. It is more than a sport, it is a gathering. It has a social appeal that football will never have because the majority of it is played in the warmth of the sun. There is a reason they call them the “Boys of Summer.” We gather with family and friends, eat hot dogs, drink beer, and enjoy tie with our family with the kids out of school. Football games do not…

I am not a fan of baseball. I don’t consider it a sport. This is most likely due to the idea being drilled into my head by my middle school lacrosse coach. He had a bumper sticker that had a little cartoon boy next to a lacrosse goal, whizzing on a baseball, but I digress. Walking into the room, I had the preconceived notion that it would be boring. Because baseball is a boring sport. They don’t even move half the time. I decided to keep an open mind anyway, because I needed material to write an essay for my English class and because I was at a new school, starting a new chapter in my life.…

For a majority of my childhood, the sport of baseball was the one activity I loved above anything else. Nothing could compare to the exhilarating freedom and satisfaction of bolting full speed around the bases, determined to steal, beating the "Throwdown" by a fraction of a second. The massive dust cloud kicked up by my cleats and the thunderous boom of the umpire shouting, "Safe!" made me feel empowered.…

Growing up I played baseball to me baseball was everything i could think of. i couldn't wait to the weekend so i could put on that dirty uniform and pick up the new bat and nice leather glove and play baseball. When i was young i played in a big park in NYC where everyone saw you play so as i grew up everyone expected me to continue playing baseball and get better and work hard my mother always signed me up for baseball and i met a lot of coaches who help me gain more talent throughout the years. So as i grew up baseball started to be more and more of a priority to me i went to baseball practice two times a week one during the week and one on the weekend and with baseball practice i attended a baseball program which is twice a week meaning less and less time for homework and time to study. that being said i believe that time management and dealing with less and less sleep is the biggest problem with high school sports.…
