An addiction is usually a thing that one does not need to survive and can live without it. These articles, “Signs and Symptoms” by website of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, “Psychological Dependence vs. Physical Dependence: Is there Really a Difference,” by the Udemy Blog and “Is Physical Dependence the Same as Addiction?” by Dr. Christopher J. Welsh, Addictions Specialist, in the ABC News website, developed the same difference between dependence and addiction. My research was based on a study done by Pew Research Center.
