They are as follows:
o Each character grew up without their own biological parents. o Each characters parents died horrible deaths and 2 characters witnessed the crime. o All three characters have unique super powers. o Two of the three characters work with a newspaper. o All three are crime fighters and constantly rescue victims from harm. o All three choose to remain anonymous and bear this burden alone despite the consequence of detriment to their personal lives. o None of them are married. o They all stand for truth, justice and the right in all things. o They choose to use their super powers for good and not evil. o They choose ordinary lives instead of great wealth and power despite the capability to attain virtually anything they want.
There are many more similarities but it is my opinion that these are the ones that are most important to mention. Perhaps it is these similar characteristics that make these characters survive for decades in the memories of old and young …show more content…
Hero worship is common among people who are sports enthusiasts for example. Some people are extremely passionate about sports and their real life athletic heroes. People want to be like them and be around them. "Be Like Mike" became a catch phrase for Michael Jordan, the basketball player that rose (arguably) above all others in his abilities on the court. This same hero worship obviously can occur psychologically with imaginary characters as well as with real life people. We know they are not real but yet we seem to still idolize them. Certain people carry this idolization to extremes as adults while others quietly keep their happy memories of their childhood and their experiences with these characters every Saturday morning to
