People are more focused on what the standards of beauty are and due to that many do not value that beauty can come in all types of forms. Taking for example a woman in America today during the twenty-first century. Many like to consider a beautiful woman to be thin and busty and a skinny, flat woman not so much. Just because someone does not meet the standards of society, does not mean they are not beautiful in their own way. The way society’s mentality is set up is flawed and causes deep insecurities to many. It has gotten to points where people were ashamed to even think about calling themselves or someone beautiful. Constantly being told that one is not ‘pretty’ enough can take a toll on a person and it negatively affects the mindset.
Everyone’s interpretation of beauty varies depending on who you are and what you like. People just need to remember the definition of beauty does not solely have one meaning. Beauty is what one makes it up to be and their acquired taste. “The beautiful object invites us to explore and interpret, but it also requires us to explore and interpret…” Take a look and analyze all the beauty around and stray from the normal everyday aesthetics and admire what might have never before been considered
