Also, they internalized the oppression when they strive to become the eternal feminine. They internalize it because the value judgments become their identity and what is expected by them. They internalize it because they might just be told their whole life that they are expected to get married and have children. So this means that they might miss out on a job opportunity because it is a male dominated field, therefore something uncommon for a woman. For example, a woman might question herself in majoring in business because it is male dominated, it might get to difficult competing with all of them men in the field. They might be hesitant to apply in male dominated jobs especially if most employers have a value judgment that women just have children and a husband and they quit. If a woman internalized that she is expected to get married and have children, she might hesitate try to advance in her career.
