Teaching is an occupation, a profession, a lifetime job, and it is the work of the teachers.
Teaching is a rewarding career matching teachers skills with the needs of students to succeed. Teaching has great potential for many individuals to leave a mark on society and benefit their lives and self-worth.
We live in an age where the image of science has been formed by the fantacy of space of exploration, by the magic of the medical sciences, and by the specter of environmental disaster. Yet, all too often, as we turn to the classroom, the vitality and drama of science has been reduced to a set of technical terns, definition, and answers to multiple-choice questions. It is time past due to re-think the way we teach.
