Immortal Beloved Paper
Immortal beloved is the story of Ludwig Beethoven's life, loves, and hardships portrayed by actors. Beethoven himself is played by the actor Gary Oldman, who is known for his role in several of the Batman movies. The movie starts out by revealing a mystery and throughout the rest of the movie there are flashbacks that take place between Beethoven and his secretary, Anton Schindler. The mystery itself is of a unofficial will that is found, where Beethoven leaves his property to an unnamed “immortal beloved”. Anton Schindler sets out on a journey to find the truth about whom Beethoven wanted to leave his belongings to, and thus the women whose identity was hidden by the tag “immortal beloved”. The letter was addressed to a hotel in Karlsbad, leading Schindler to his first stop. At this time the narrator begins to read part of the letter saying that Beethoven has been delayed in his travels due to his coach breaking down. This gives insight to what is to come within the mystery revealed at the beginning. Once Schindler arrives, he brings to question the property manager. The property manager tells him that yes, in fact, Beethoven had been there many years ago with an unnamed woman. This woman never even revealed her face, always using a veil to cover herself. He began to tell Schindler tha the woman had arrived before Beethoven, and he was asked to deliver a letter to the woman titled, “immortal beloved”. He recalls that she “must not have liked the letter” because she left shortly after. When he finally arrived there was a scene of Beethoven going on a destructive rampage, destroying the hotel
