Before You Were Born
I am going to talk about how my family got over here from Ireland. Stuff for about my great grandparents. I am going to talk about some stories that my grandpa told me about his dad and my dad. My three topics I like because you get to know stuff about my family
My family came over from Ireland because there was a drought. They came over on a boat. They settled in Nebraska where they stared to farm. They came on their own. How we got to south Dakota was because of my great grandpa and his brothers moved the ranch to south Dakota because the grass was greener.
Here are some stories that my grandpa told. One day before I was born he was helping his dad work on the backhoe and his dad fell so my grandpa was only like 12
help his dad up and took him to the pickup then drove his dad to the hospital. My great grandpa was okay he had a broken leg. Later my grandpa would tell me stuff about my dad. Again before I was born my dad and my uncle jumped off the shed my grandpa had built my dad had pushed my uncle of and my uncle was fine but when my dad jumps off he broke a toe.
My great grandpa died 3 years before I was born all I get told about him is that I was like him. I don’t know if that is good or bad. My grandpa tells me stories about his dad going hunting with him the shot a deer in the heart and load it up in the back of the pickup they saw it hop out and run away. They tell me stories about a plane the crashed into a hill out by my grandpa’s dad brother house. They tell me that the pilots jumped out in Nebraska and the plane flew to south Dakota. They say that the government was out there quick and cleaned everything up.
I wrote about these thing where the things before I was born. Things that I thought where cool things about my family. I thought my family was boring until I knew these things and I am glad I have the grandparents I do. I am glad I have the stories I do and I am glad I have the family I do.
