Specific purpose: To inform the audience the benefits of being an Aerospace engineer.
Thesis: Aerospace space engineering can be very beneficial in many different ways, such as high salary with only a bachelor’s degree, and also eligibility for life, dental, and medical insurance.
I. Introduction
A. Attention getter- Aerospace Engineering is all about flight - airplanes, spacecraft, hovercraft, and helicopters. It includes the study of aerodynamics, aerospace structures, propulsion, flight mechanics and systems, and vehicle designs.
B. Thesis – Aerospace engineering can be very beneficial in many different ways, such as high salary with only a bachelor’s degree, and also eligibility for life dental, and medical insurance.
C. Main points preview – Aerospace engineering is a broad field. There are many different ways you can go with this degree. Regardless of what you choose to do as an aerospace engineer most careers do not require an excess amount of schooling, all offer a great salary, and insurance.
D. Establish qualifications/goodwill – although, I am not yet an aerospace engineer, one day I hope to be able to build and manufacture parts for airplanes, spacecraft, hovercraft, and helicopters.
Transition: First off, I’d like to discuss the many reasons why it is beneficial to be an aerospace engineer.
II. Body
A. Aerospace engineering only requires a bachelor’s degree.
1. You can be an aerospace engineer in just 6 years.
2. There are over 250 different schools nationwide that are part of the ABET. (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology)
3. Students typically begin their education by enrolling in core courses in mathematics, chemistry and physics.
a. Taking these core classes also allows students to be eligible for other degrees.
Transition: Another beneficial reason to become an aerospace engineer is the high salary.
B. Aerospace engineer’s salaries are on the rise.
