Like the other groups from Europe that came over to the New World, the puritans came over primarily for profit at first. Then the puritans saw their opportunity to seek refuge from the harsh theocratic government to start their own utopia for only puritans, in the early seventeenth century. The puritans had the idea of growing a closely-knit Christian society. Although the puritans lived up to somewhat of an extent on creating a utopian political system, they didn’t live up to their vision of: building colonies that were socially weak, and having a harsh religious system.…

    Macy's Case Study

Many companies use the strategy used by Macy’s, but, usually, consumers expect more discounts and promotions in the future. In general, once the customer receives a discount or some kind of reward for engaging in purchase behavior towards a company, their expectation for future rewards increases. So, in order to make this program effective, Macy’s needs to increase the value offered to consumers. This can be done by offering customers a reasonable reward for repeat purchases. This means that the reward program should offer any type of reward that would actually make a difference for the consumer. If the company offers a $10 dollar discount for every $500 dollar spent, then that is not a reasonable discount for the consumer. In contrast, if the company offers a 10% discount for every $500 spent, then that could be a reasonable reward for the consumer. In this case, Macy’s is offering 10% off which may not be a good deal for a person spending $10 to $15 dollars in the next two days. In addition, I believe that the current program is performing well when it comes to the timing in receiving rewards because, the longer it takes to receive the benefit or reward, the less benefit would be perceived by the consumer. Also, the company should develop a program that would deliver more benefits in the long-run. Currently, the company is offering only two days of rewards. Finally, the company should develop a long-term loyalty program to maintain customers involved in the program. A good example would be a reward program that would use points which could allow customers to earn points every time they make a purchase. And, after gathering a determined amount of points, the consumer would be able to exchange those points for rewards or…

I don’t really look for coupons unless I am going to that store. I must admit that I love on particular fast food chain named, Chick-Fil-A. I actually look for those coupons. I have received free minis, and other free things from Chick-Fil-A. At the same time, I carry Michael Kors products, which represent a particular status. I have a $400 dollar purse that I only paid $100. I even have a Michael Kors cell case, but no-one can tell it is a Michal Kors, but it make me feel a certain way. So, I am not sure what type of consumer behavior that I demonstrate.…

In the community, Puritans didn't have much of wealth differences. Therefore, they had no social hierarchy. All of the Puritans also had good work ethic. They all were strong and hardworking people. They were people that believed they were the chosen ones of God. They believed that man had no control over his destiny, that they as one individual, decided that for themselves, meaning that they didn’t believe in predestination. Predestination, being one of the factors they disagreed with with England. Puritans were all close in what their values were. You were shunned for almost anything that went against God’s word. A major thing that happened was when supernatural things started happening. This caused a big uproar in Puritan society. People claimed to be witches, and they started believing that the Devil himself was among them. Once again, the New England Puritans were primarily based on the word of God.
