Benjamin Bach Research Paper

This journal is all about one of the most famous and successful German composer of the Baroque period. Johann Sebastian Bach was born in Eisenach Germany in 1685 he had seven siblings which made him the youngest out of all his brothers and sisters. His father Johann Ambrosius Bach was the director of the town musicians and his uncles were professional musicians. Bach was surrounded by music and musicians his whole child hood, this influenced him to have a love for music. When both of his parents died in 1694 he went to live with his older brother Johann Christopher Bach who was the organist at St. Michael`s church. This is when the young Bach studied copied, and performed music. His brother taught him how to play the clavichord and introduced him to the works of many great composers of the time. By early 1700 Bach was enrolled in St. Michael`s school in Luneburg where he sang in the choir as well as played the organ and harpsicord. In 1706 Bach started his work as the organist at the Blasius church in Muhlhausen, but by t 1708 he left to go to Weimar this is where he started his period of sustained composing.

Bach was a very talented musician and composer who created a
lot of beautiful works and put on many amazing performances. The Genres of music that he mainly performed and composed were sacred choral music, and orchestral music. Bach was a very talented organist and always tried to create music that stared the organ. One of his most famous pieces of organ music would be “Toccata and Fugue in D minor”. He also was a very religious man, and very involved and influenced by works of the church, church music if what he was very passionate about. One of his most famous compositions is “Mass in B minor” he wrote this in 1749 one year before his death and it is widely hailed as one of the greatest compositions of all time. Bach was arguably one of the most talented composer of the baroque era.

I think that Johann Sebastian Bach was and is very important.
He is one of the greats when it comes to composer and artist in music history. He gave us some of the greatest compositions in history that has stood the test of time because we are still listening to them, studying them, and enjoying them today. He was no child prodigy, he got his skills and talents from hard work and practice and that is just one of the many things about Bach that we can look back on and admire. He is one of the greatest pianist and organist to have ever played and it takes a very talented musician to play his works. He has inspired other very famous musicians of music history like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and still inspires musicians today in 2016, hundreds of years after his life. That is why I think Bach is
important.
