Mandela, convey selflessness and _________.
Beowulf and Nelson Mandela share the characteristic of selflessness.
Beowulf demonstrated this by setting out to fight the great terror, Grendel, while Nelson showed this by standing against the government which was abusing the human rights of black people simply because of their skin color. With Beowulf going to slay Grendel, we should keep in mind that he volunteered to sail to another country to fight him, even though Grendel was not an eminent threat to Beowulf and his country. The extent he went to kill a monster that was not affecting him or anyone he knew before going there shows how good natured and self sacrificing he is, all for the greater good. “_________________________” Blahblahblahcblahcblhablahnlahblhablah. With Nelson Mandela, he led the country of South Africa out of the pro-apartheid government so that he and all other black people living in South Africa could live in a safe environment. “I learned courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.” Nelson wanted to stand up for whta he believed in, but eas held back at first by fear. He learned to overcome the fearand built up the courage to fight for the rights of black people, so that every black person could walk freely. This demonstrates how selfless he is because there are and were many risks that came with going against the government as a minority, and he got sent away for almost 30 years so that a whole race could have more
freedom.
