Beowulf: An Ideal Hero
Beowulf is a robust, mighty ruler of Geatland in the book Beowulf. Beowulf of the Scyldings was a beloved king of the people. “Beowulf was famed among warriors long time in the strongholds” (2). Although the book makes Beowulf insinuate he is the perfect hero, he does lack some characteristics. Beowulf is King of the Geats and loves the glory he receives from his people. Beowulf is a brave warrior and becomes a wise and daring leader. Many fights Beowulf is involved in expose his true character. Throughout the book, Beowulf exemplifies the characteristics of an ideal hero.
