His choices were to wait until the traitor group came back with more men to fight them or to hunt them down and stop them before they gain members. Wiglaf chose the choice that would keep his people safer. He gathered up six of his best, loyal men and set off to find the traitors. One of the men with him was an excellent tracker so Wiglaf knew they would find the traitors within a few weeks.
