Beowulf Book Vs Movie

If we go beyond the movie, it tells about not only how Beowulf brave is but also to the folklore of the Geats. A monster they are afraid off. To the curse that never end. To the struggles, that King of Geats may in, every time the monster appears. Beowulf is a brave warrior that accepts the challenge of Hrothgar without doubt in him. In his battle, it is not the monster his biggest opponent but the temptation itself. He becomes king not because he defeats the monster but he doesn’t fight the temptation. All of his people believe in a lie that he make. The good thing is, he never waste his time to make this mistake going along. He sacrifices the entire thing he has even his life. He saves the Geats from the distraction of the dragon. In addition, he dies that no one could ever know about the true story except to Wiglaf.

In our life, our biggest opponent is not the other people but the temptation that satisfy our self pleasure and gratification in our life. For that, I believe, “There’s a sufficient for a man’s need, but not for a man’s greed”.
