Bess Crawford is a World War I British army nurse. Caroline and Charles Todd the two American authors under the pseudonym of Charles Todd created the Bess Crawford series which eventually grew to be a popular and highly rated in the last 5 years. The first of the Bess Crawford series was in the year 2009 and was called ‘A Duty to the Dead’.

It becomes the beginning of a strange case that involves several murders and some dark family secrets.
