Betta Fish
Ever wonder exactly what fish you could own for a household pet that would be the best suited for you? Well you could consider getting a gold fish or a guppy but those fish are mind-numbingly boring compared to the breath taking and electrifying betta fish. Betta fish are the best fish to have as pets because of their characteristics, habitat and diet.
The characteristics of a betta fish make them one of the best household pets. Betta fish only grow to 3 inches, so they do not need very much room to live in. Therefore, you would never have to purchase a huge tank. While in their cozy home you can choose to watch your betta fish as they show off one of the many varieties of colors and tails they have and become their best friend. A beta fish has an extraordinary personality as it is filled with friendliness, curiosity and socialization. A beta fish will actually get very acquainted with its owner and they will thrive for the attention their owner will give them. A beta fish can actually fall into depression from the lack of socialization and starve themselves to death. So if you want a fish that will become your best friend and has great characteristics, a betta fish is the way to go.
Betta fish have a really easy habitat to maintain, making them a great household pet. If you would like to keep your betta fish happy and healthy, keep their water clean as no one likes living in dirty surroundings. Avoid letting their water get cool for long periods of time as it will stress them out and make them more vulnerable to diseases. To know if you are doing a good job at upholding their habitat, take a look at it. Its appearance and behavior will tell you how it is feeling. If your betta fish is colorful, active and very interested it what’s going on around it you’re doing good. However, if it is inactive and has frayed fins that is a red flag that something is wrong with his habitat. So be a good owner and keep a betta fish bowl clean, warm and well-kept so it can

Both the fish and plant do not need much caring for. The plant needs a little bit of water every day, and the fish needs food about twice a day, but that is not nearly what I thought it would take to maintain these organisms. I enjoyed this project; it was very interesting to make two small ecosystems. If I had the chance to do it again with two different organisms I would definitely do it.…

Starfish have tube feet operated by a hydraulic system and a mouth at the centre of the oral or lower surface. They have complex life cycles and can reproduce both sexually and asexually. A fish has long been seen as the perfect “starter pet”. Parents who are skeptical of their children’s ability to care for a larger animal will often present their offspring with a goldfish before introducing a dog or a cat to the household. While it is true that goldfish do not require quite as much attention as their four-legged counterparts, marine pets are not as easy to raise as everybody seems to think. If a fish is to thrive and survive in your care, you must make sure the water in your aquarium is the right temperature, is free of chlorine, and has a low pH level. Failure to adequately prepare the water for your fish will ultimately lead to their death, likely after several weeks of illness and lethargy. Experienced aquarists may be…

Perhaps the first choice one encounters is that of the tank itself. An appropriate tank is the largest one that can be accommodated in one’s home, preferably 25 gallons or more. Larger tanks are easier to maintain than smaller ones. Since a larger tank can hold a larger volume of water, the conditions of the water remain more stable, and are less apt to be affected by unavoidable mechanical failures, as well as waste products of the fish (Thraves 12). If a heater were to fail, the larger volume of water would cool more slowly than would a smaller volume, thus maintaining the conditions of the tank for a much longer period. In addition, a larger aquarium is always more humane for a fish than a smaller one (Kolle 75).…
