Bible Club Observation
Dickenson County's newest middle school, Ridgeview Middle School, is often thought of as a jail house, but when one is in the Bible Club it is a very different place. A great activity that is offered by my school is the Bible Club. First, Bible Club is a huge stress reliever. It reminds me of a stress relieving massage that I have seen many people get. Second, it gives me a lot of motivation to live a Godly life. Last, we go a lot of field trips to share the word of God with others. As can be seen, at my school Bible Club is one of the greatest activities that is offered.
First of all, Bible Club is a big stress reliever for me as well as my friends. It helps me relax, and when I walk into Bible Club everything quickly slows down.

For example, once we went to watch movie called God's Not Dead 2 it was about a teacher going to court for answering a bible related question that a student had asked. That was just one of the trips that we have taken, we have also taken two trips to the nursing home, two trips to the movies, and we are planning on going to a Casting Crowns concert in March. We go to the Heritage Hall Nursing Home at Christmas and give the people in the Nursing Home Company and treats that we have made for them. Caroling is another thing that we do a lot of in Bible Club especially around Christmas time. I always have fun when I am at Bible Club with my friends. As I have stated, we go on many field trips to many places. In conclusion, a great activity that is offered by my school is Bible Club. First, it is a huge stress reliever to me and all my friends. Second, it gives me motivation to live the way that God has planned for me to, and it gives me motivation to do the things that God has told me to and not fear doing them. Last, we go on a lot of different field trips to many places. I am glad that I go the privilege of being in the Bible Club. In the end, Ridgeview Middle School offers very many clubs, but the greatest one that is offered is Bible

During the time of Samuel, there was no monarchy in Israel unlike the other countries around. The Israelites wanted a king for themselves where they could actually see and hear. They wanted the same protection that the other nations were getting from their kings. Therefore the Israelites asked Samuel to ask God to nominate a king for them. But Samuel did not like the fact that the Israelites wanted a king, so he prayed God for an answer. God said to Samuel in a sad way to let the Israelites have a king since they do not want me as their king anymore. Samuel told the Israelites what God has said and warned them that they would have to sacrifice part of their life for the king. Despite the warning, the Israelites desired a king who would rule them like the other nations.…

The Sermon in the Mount delivered by Jesus defines the important values of Religion. As the founder of Christian religion, Jesus, in his sermon, presented the evidences of ethics behavior of Christians, which are forgiveness, humility, Justice, love and perseverance. Agreeing to Jesus’ sermon, forgiveness must characterize Christians. In fact, Christian must forgive at the level of accepting a recidivist behavior. According to Jesus “If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also”. In addition humility is a requirement of Christians. Christians prove their humility by asking forgiveness even if they did not offense someone. As Jesus declared, if “your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front…

    Why Is Religion Important

In today’s world, there are many different ways to get involved in religion; various methods have attracted groups of all ages and races. One popular association is FCA or Fellowship of Christian Athletes. This particular group has helped me to find Christ in my own life. There are a lot of unconventional activities to help the younger generations get involved. Some of these activities included Death Week, which focused on death and pain, meetings about family and divorce, lectures to help people reach for their goals, and encouragement speakers. There is a great deal of fun incorporated into all the seriousness, though. We went on ski trips, did missionary work, and put on skits. All of these activities involved Christ in some way, and helped the younger generation to realize that being spiritual was not “uncool.” When I attended the FCA meetings, it was the one time that I actually felt free from all my problems. FCA helped me to find my spiritual self and gave me a sense of completion.…

    The Bible and Culture

    • 1680 Words

Culture is at the heart of who we are. We interact and react to the world based on the culture we have developed. When encountering cultures different from our own there is an almost automatic judgment. We quickly find differences and disparities and judge that culture against our own; often sitting in judgment of the other culture’s ways of operating, not even entertain the idea that our way may not be optimal. We as humans are quick to set ourselves and our ways (our culture) above others. We find small, often insignificant, ways in which we differ from those around us. We use our differences to make ourselves feel special. All of these things become even truer when the culture is based on religiosity. We separate ourselves into such different categories that, while just living, we encounter different cultures throughout each day. The question is, how do we respond to different cultures in a Biblical way? I really like the cultural aspects depicted in Acts. Not only do we get to see different cultures with in a racial group, we get to see cultural tensions between ethnic groups and most interestingly, we get to see how people respond to God changing the culture of His people. We get to see humans from several different cultures struggle to become a new culture that is centered in Christ.…

The first 39 books of the larger work called the Bible, is called the Old Testament. The Bible itself is arguably the best selling and most read book of all time, yet it’s well known to be quite challenging to read through and understand. The Old Testament portion of the Bible, notably the most difficult portion of the Bible for most to study and follow, yields 39 books from multiple authors, and spans over 4000 years of crucial world and church history. If that were not enough to take on, the Old Testament comes our way through multiple styles of authorship and formats, including but not limited to, books of history, law, proverbs, ethics, philosophy, treatises, dramas, songs, epics, biographies, and letters. There have been many books written and published to survey, explain, and/or bring to light the Old Testament, but none more helpful to me than the review subject of this paper, the work of Dr. Elmer L. Towns, entitled “A Journey Through the Old Testament”.…

Creativeness tells me that I need not to give the typical definition of missions. So I decided to divide the word mission into two words—miss and ion. Fortunately, these words turned out to be of great help. Miss, according to the Random House dictionary is a verb that means to fail to encounter, to meet or to catch. Missing an opportunity to witness is a big “no-no” in the mission field. Chances to win others for the Lord must be seized and not missed. That’s why when given a favorable time, soul-winning is imperative. In the school, there is what you call the sphere of influence or simply friends and classmates. These people can be the starting point of a young Baptist’s mission. Remember, within the circle of friendship is a young Baptist accountable for all of them.…
