I believe that he has a point, but instead of talking about the issue as a whole and suggesting solutions, he is taking a few specific problems and taking it to extreme measures. There is also the matter of white poverty and black poverty. Crosby never mentioned the white people who live in poverty. Let’s face it; there is always something more that we could have done in a situation that we did not so we are all to be blamed for the situation we are in. These situations are identical; the only difference is their skin color. This means that these people should be blamed equally for the situations they are in.
I think it relates to class material because we talked about how some people refuse to believe racism or sexism still exist but it clearly does. Crosby’s stance on racism, that the minorities are responsible for their disadvantages, is a perfect example of modern racism. This is also a great example of how racism in a part of peoples ‘culture which means that it can be different based on your geography, ethnicity, age, and
