I believe that we can categories them into 3 types.
One of the first reasons for young adults to start binge drinking would be peer pressure.
"Peer pressure is something that almost every young adults would face as there started meeting up with new colleague. As they wanted to become a part of the social group that they can be recognize and to fit into it they started binge drinking since everybody else is doing it. After all drinking alcohol helps boost our confidence to be brave and to be able to talk to others people without being shy." (Lyness, 2012) But as it keeps on the alcohol confuse the human mindset making them unable to even decide what is right or what is wrong and only wanting to drink more alcohol and then later on they became addicted to it and become binge drinkers.
Another main reason for young adults to start binge drinking would due to the stress.
Drinking alcohol after a long tough and tiring day makes young adults feel relax. As young adults look at alcohol as a way to get 'high ' and to relieve stress. So they started drinking to help them relieve or maybe forget about all their problems that they are facing at school and at home.
"Drinking Alcohol leads the mind of young adults into a positive feeling for a short term. But as a young adult started to drink alcohol to cope with stress it appears that drinking alcohol more would eventually leads to the anticipation of a major stress." (Bressert, n.d.)
Finally the last reason would be due to the human mind of every teenagers." They wanted to feel older and wanted to have fun. Their desire and curiosity of the taste of the alcohol become much higher that they started to taste it bit by bits as they think that it will make them feel 'high ' and not realizing that it could made them feel sick and hung-over. And as they started seeing older people drinking in front of them made them want to try out drinking alcohol more without even thinking about all the consequences that they will received and hence , binge drinking started." (Dowshen, 2013)
Young adults binge drinking is definitely a problem and taking all the points mentioned into thoughts there will be consequences that will seriously affects their health problems.
"Having a 'hangover ' or losing memories may be the start of it but as it get longer it can result in damage in the brain, diseases in digestive system, heart damage, kidney problem and lung cancer and probably end up dying." (Why Is Binge , 2012) In conclusion although binge drinking can cause from a merely hangover till death still a lot of young adults would still keep drinking. So I highly believe that it should be stop for it can ruin your life. After all it can be prevented and reduced by changing drinking patterns and reduce harmful outcomes.

I agree with Seaman about binge drinking among college age students, when I first started drinking I was nineteen years old and drank mostly before going out with friends because we knew we couldn’t get when we were out. It was also largely due to the fact that we knew we were not suppose to. I believe college students binge drink because they thinks it’s fun or makes them look good; not knowing the damage that they are doing to themselves.…

“The chief reasons for starting to drink involve social and cultural factors, particularly the expectancies that form from watching other individuals enjoying themselves while drinking (Text, )”. Many young people start because they see their parents and friends doing it. Additionally, many ceremonies and celebrations involve the use of alcohol, showing others alcohol is acceptable and fun. Media also plays a role in a person’s decision to drink alcohol. Alcohol use is abundant in many television shows and movies. It is almost impossible to watch a television show without seeing a commercial promoting alcohol. Along with these reasons, others begin drinking because of psychological reasons such as, depression, stress, and anxiety. Many of the individuals who drink for these reasons can cause increased problems with their mental health. These people drink to change their mental state because alcohol can temporarily alleviate the feelings of depression and anxiety. Unfortunately, this can cause people to have much worse feelings of depression and anxiety. This can lead some people to drink more to get rid of the increased feelings, causing a vicious cycle of…

Peer pressure also plays a big role in underage drinking. The most important thing in the life of a teenager is to “fit in”. Teenagers are almost expected to drink before they are 21 these days. If they don’t, they could easily be the outcast of their social circle and be made fun of. Most of the parents don’t punish their underage children for drinking because they did the same things when they were in high school. This can lead to teens thinking that it is an acceptable lifestyle to live.…
