Biological Systems Paper
There are numerous articles written to explain the issues that can occur in the lungs and the respiratory system from smoking however there seem to be other issues that need to be looked at as well. While we know that smoking can cause a great deal of damage to the lungs and can contribute to the development of COPD (Chronic Obstruction Pulmonary Disease) (Kool & Reneman, 1993), there are other things such as damage to skin and teeth, the possibility of Emphysema or lung cancer, as well as the possibility of tongue or throat cancer. Researchers have also looked into the connection between smoking cigarettes and the risk of Erectile Dysfunction.
The idea of someone we love developing a condition that would constrict their air way or cause them to struggle to take a breath is hard for most of us however the majority of the public does not even begin to think of the other issues that could effect individuals that smoke now or in their past. The reproductive system in the human male has been the topic of discussion for some researchers. The reproductive system that we take for granted most of the time is very intricate and dynamic. The organs that make up the male reproductive system are designed to perform the functions of producing, maintaining, and transporting sperm, also known as the male reproductive cells, as well as the protective fluid also known as the semen, ("Cleveland Clinic", 2014). The male reproductive system also discharges sperm into the female reproductive tract when it is working properly. The male reproductive system includes not only internal structures but external structures as well and will produce and secrete male sex hormones at the appropriate times.
There are multiple external reproductive structure that are essential in the proper function of the male reproductive system. The penis, which is the male organ used for
