Biology Reaction Paper
Last Monday, (August 15, 2011) we had our Environmental Biology Field trip at three different places all around Manila, We visited The Avilon Zoo, The La Mesa Eco Park and The Myth of the Human body. We are scheduled to depart at around 6:00 in the morning because that is what’s written in our itinerary, but just like what we all expected, the bus started the engine at around 7:30 in the morning already, we were kind of left behind with our scheduled trip and we’re a little bit upset about it because we all hurriedly woke up earlier than the usual just not to be late, and yet, a couple of late students and we were all late. That’s why nobody’s taking the itinerary seriously because we always wait for those people who are effortless, and it’s kind of pissing me off just to tell you. I don’t know who to be blame. Maybe it’s the both parties, but it’s still disappointing.

We arrived at the Avilon zoo, which is our first stop at around 9:30 or 10am, The two of us has already been at that zoo for a couple of times already and seeing it again for the third time is a no easy job, though it’s nice to be back but there’s nothing new about it aside from seeing the animals I’ve seen every year again. We’re just very thankful that the sun gave us the chance to walk those kilometers without the sun’s very harmful rays. So, it’s much easier to walk around and shed those pounds off. We finished walking and visiting the zoo after 2 hours, which is already at 12NN. You could just imagine how hungry we all were after our Zoo trip. We ate our packed lunches and sharing it to everyone who wanted to taste which is a very nice part inside our Tour Bus which provide us with a minimal space to eat, but it’s all good to both the two of us.

After some more minutes, we proceed to our next destination which is at the La Mesa Eco Park, Megu had already been there when she was in High school to plant trees, but this time, it’s my first time to visit, so I am quite expectant to what I’ll

    1. When data are read from a text file, you can use the BufferedReader to read one line at a time. After a line of data is read, there is no way of going back to read it again. To overcome this you can first read all the data into a structured object to store them, and then process the data later. Please use the DNA class (we have developed in the past a few weeks, which has properties of ID and seq, and the set/get methods) to develop a Java program to read in a FASTA format DNA sequence file, and parse out each sequence record into the part of ID and sequence. The ID is identified between the ">" and the "|" in the header line, and the sequence is the concatenation of all lines of the sequence part into a single string. Each DNA sequence record can then be stored into an array element of the DNA class. Use a loop in your program to prompt the user to enter a sequence ID, and if the ID exists print out the sequence. If the ID does not exist, print out a warning message. Exit the loop if the user enters “quit”. Please use the sequence file (seq.fasta) as the input file. Below is a sample output of the program: (2 points)…

“ Come and eat.” Joe,the leader of the trip, struggled to say because he was so tired, “Breakfast is going to be light this morning because we have along day head of us.” We all struggled to get out of our tents considering it was 5:30am and there was a mountain we had to start climbing in a half hour. All thirteen of us stood in a line like we did the morning before while we packed our lunches. The options available to us were an apple, cheese stick, peanut butter and jelly to make sandwiches, but only 2 per person, yogurt and 2 bottles of water. All of that would have to fit into a back pack with us the would be stuck to our backs for the rest of the day. “Time to load!” Joe shouted. We all got into the van that seated 16, single file until very seat was filled.…

I walked away pleased that my dollar twenty-five was still imbedded in my palm. With five minutes until my first class and stomach still growling, I searched franticly through EA and finally found the Doritos I had been longing for. Assisted Suicide

What indeed is assisted suicide? Some may think it is just another word for euthanasia; however, there is actually a difference. Based on the basic Dictionary.com definition, euthanasia is “intentionally causing the death of a person; the motive being to benefit that person or protect him/her from further suffering,” while assisted suicide is “helping a person kill him or herself”. In other words, the main difference between this and euthanasia is that in assisted suicide the patient is in complete control of the process that leads to death because he/she is the person who performs the act of suicide. The other person simply helps (for example, providing the means for carrying out the action).…

We left the school at 10:30 a.m. on a bright and sunny Monday morning. Our original plan was to leave at 10, but Cutter was late. We managed to get twelve people and all of their luggage on a little, tiny route bus. By the time we reached Clarendon, we realized that our little buses main air conditioner had broken. We were very upset, and the reason we were upset is because we were going to be in a bus without an air conditioner for five hours. Even though it seemed like the trip took days, we finally made it to the Dallas area. In the end we calculated that it took us almost eight hours, and this wasn’t counting the hour we spent in Cabela’s. After we went to Cabela’s we went to our hotel and checked in. Since convention started the next day, we just stayed at the hotel and relaxed.…

Five minutes later, we were on our way to Sea World. We laughed and sang until we arrived at the amazing place. I could smell the fresh aromatic scent of the fresh water-park as I stepped out of the car. I heard the birds chirping, a patter and the trees danced with the cool breeze. The first thing I saw, was a huge roller coaster extending over a small building in the sky, that seemed like a mini tower. The water park was colorful and everything was in order.…

When I reached the bus station, it was nearly empty except for a handful of boys. Mohan and I strode to a bench near the stationmaster’s office. I could feel the tension on my shoulders as the straps of my school bag ate into my shoulder. “Where is the bus?” I sighed to myself. An elderly woman came and asked me where I was going. She started a conversation but gave up after my monosyllable answers.…
