Just because of their hatred towards African Americans the effects of racial discrimination are also explored in “The Help” novel as the Americans are brutal towards the African Americans as the Americans show no fear as African Americans are worthless towards white Americans.
The theme, ‘Racial discrimination plays a major role in segregation’ is conveyed in the novel ‘The Help’ written by Kaythryn Stockett when Abilene, a black maid who has been discriminated throughout the novel, has been accused of stealing jewellery from her employers house. This accusation is made by Hilly who has no proof of the event but as she is more dominant she forces Abilene to leave. Tate Taylor expresses the theme in this occasion as it ignites fire and revenge into Abilene which is also past onto the other maids.
