Abstract

During the Black Panthers movement, the objective was to promote equal rights, equal opportunities, self defense, and black pride in America. This movement wanted all African Americans, to stand up against police brutality. Giving African Americans the power to use the Second Amendment right; create different organization for African American adults and children. During the 1967 the governor of California Ronald Reagan passed the gun control act called the, Mulford Act. Ronald Reagan supported the gun control for African Americans, where they should have freedom to bear arms publicly. The black panthers party replaced the non- violence theory. African
Whites and people of color never got along in earlier years, whites want to be separated between people from color of people but colored people are standing up for theirself in America. Later in the U.s made a lot of changes by using the executive orders to integrate blacks to work together. Later in 1954 Thurgood Marshall wanted to overturned the the “separate but equal” by standing up to integrate people of color into public schooling. But white didn't like the idea in 1957 in little rock arkansas the congress desegregated public schooling and used the national guard to prevent blacks inside the school but later that month Dwight D. Eisenhower sent in federal troops to escort nine black teens. In 1955 the civil rights rights movement was launched by arresting Rosa Parks for sitting on the front of the bus, after the arrest a rally of african americans came together at the Martin Luther King to speak out against segregation in the Alabama and the south. Blacks organized the montgomery bus boycott to boycott city transportation, later in 1957 Martin Luther King formed the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) to have nonviolent protest by marching and protesting, Martin was inspired by the indian leader Gandhi movement based on “love and nonviolence”(The civil rights

The negative effects of the nationalism by other blacks will cause a negative type of competition leading to warfare (Beck, Black, & Krieger, 2005), also some people will create a strong hatred in other countries to start another war. The black separatist is typically to oppose integration and racial intermarriage and want to separate institution. Black separatist are anti-white are going to stand up for theirself and and want their own thing and not get run by the white man. For example black separatist groups are the black panthers party, and the nation of islam founded by Wallace Fard Muhammad talks about the white man are evil and called them blue-eyed devils. That kept blacks segregated in the south so blacks stand up and fight for their rights and want to separate from whites. The con of black separatist is keeping blacks segregated in America so blacks don't have any rights in america.
