I love the meaning behind this song, it completely describes the two members and what they stand for. Kev Marcus and Will B are trying to change the stereotypes of black men and the stereotype of classical music and the people that play it. The typical stereotype of a black man is that they are an uneducated, athletic, blue collar person. There also is an stereotype on the genre of classical music. I have never been a fan of the classical genre of musics so that is another reason for my doubtful thinking of the show. Later I googled Black Violin and discovered amazing reviews and listened to a couple of there performances and was quite impressed. Black Violin started nearly ten years ago and the two musicians, Kev Marcus and Will B, have performed over two-hundred shows each year in forty-nine states and thirty-six countries. These countries consist of Dubai, Prague, South Africa and more. They also appeared on three NFL celebrations for the Super Bowls. They have performed for the President multiple times and have collaborated with the likes of P. Diddy, Kanye West, 50 Cent, Aerosmith, Alicia Keys and more. After discovering all of this information I was more looking forward to the concert, but i still had my doubts about it being based off of classical music. The concert was definitely memorable for me and I am glad to say I had the opportunity to get to experience the Black Violin show. I would certainly recommend Black Violin to anyone who appreciates hip hop and classical music and everything in
