There are multiple beautiful fish around the world. They also bring an element of beauty and mystery. A person can find fish in lakes, oceans, rivers, and aquariums. But, people are bigots when it comes to blobfish. Some people abhor blobfish. They do not know that blobfish are awesome. A blobfish is a deep-sea fish with a large head. Though blobfish are ugly they are really interesting. Some interesting facts about blobfish include, that they are the world’s ugliest animal, no one has seen a live blobfish, blobfish are lazy, and they are endangered. The blobfish was voted the world's ugliest animal in the year 2013. It is also the mascot for the Ugly Animal Preservation Society. It was voted the world’s ugliest animal due to the lack of a skeletal structure. The blobfish has a very small backbone and has no mussels. Instead, they are formed up of tissue. Blobfish would not cause harm to humans. From what scientists know they do not have aggressive behavior and they also do not have teeth. Blobfish also do not hunt for their prey. Instead of hunting, the blobfish waits patiently for prey to swim by and then sucks the prey into its mouth. If no prey swam by the blobfish would essentially starve to death. Speaking of death, the blobfish is endangered! One reason these awesome creatures are becoming endangered because they keep on getting caught in fishing nets. And since blobfish do not hunt for their prey, and the place they live is changing around them, the lack of prey is increasing and more of them are dying from starvation. In conclusion, facts about blobfish include, that they are the world’s ugliest animal, no one has seen a live blobfish, blobfish are lazy, and they are endangered.
