In this article, it talks about the basic symbols of education like the use of the textbooks, the chalkboard, and the apple that sits on the teacher desk. Now, the use of textbooks is used by videos and e-books, smart boards replace the chalkboard. That the classroom has changed since the 1800s, which was viewed by john Dewey’s theory, which states, “the general purpose of schools is to transfer knowledge and prepare young students to participate.” High performing nations had joined the supply chain to emphasize the development of the 21st century skills. Have an organization called ASCD to help improve education.

I believe this article connect with what we covered in class because as long as society changes so will education and what to use to help the students learn better. It states the educators’ side of how the advances in technology are not only affecting the students but also the teachers. Ways it might impact other place over the globe by broadening their curricula, creating communicative, imaginative, tech-savvy, multilingual students who are prepared for jobs that do not yet exist.

I really enjoyed reading this article! It help me notice students at a young age do not need to be expose to technology it can harm up and help you at the same time. I don’t think smart boards, e-books and I pad
