Blood River Short Story

I was at "Blood River" in Nairobi. My major problem is complaining about small stuff that happen to me now and then. I never had any patience, especially when it came to education. My dream was to get everything that I needed without issue. Nuur, my closest friend, always gave me guidance whenever he saw me getting out of line. He tried to solve other people’s problems before his own. He often took advantage of every opportunity that appear in his life. There was a day he gave me some great advice that, in fact, changed my life. He made me put other people’s problems before mine. From this, I learned about that people lacked opportunity, people lacking national security and individual having unfortunate circumstance. First, he taught
Nuur was not a lucky person. He struggled financially because he was a student who paid for school, rent, and food. There were some people who do not have clothes, shelter, and food. Some of the people were in worse health condition than me. On the other hand, I had everything a place to sleep, eat, and I still had a luxurious life. However, once I learned more about the unfortunate circumstances that people faced, my life eventually changed. Whenever I got into financial problems, I think of the people who were struggling financially. Because of Nuur, I decided to work hard and graduate college and open a non-profit organization for people with a lack of financial stability. I never thought Nuur would have a tremendous impact on my life, but he did. He taught me not to stress myself on the small things, to think positively, to make life easier, and to contribute positive ideas to society. Many people get advice from different people daily, but most of them do not take advice seriously. I also realized that people with the best advice are usually the once who have been through the most. Nuur changed my dark path to light, I don’t know where I could be without his advice. Because of Nuur I became a different person who never misses opportunity, appreciates his own people and always put other people’s problem before
