Bloomability
Review on “bloomability” By Sharon Creech

The title is a newly configured word created by the author, which combines the meaning of the words “bloom”, and “ability”. This also encapsulates the meaning of possibility.

In this book the main character “Dominique” (Dinnie), has many opportunities. She considers them as burdens rather than possibilities. Her father had rather unsteady and unstable professions. He could not hold a permanent job for long periods. The family therefore moves to different states frequently.
By the time she was 12 years old , they had relocated 12 times.
Every place they travelled to leads to more troubles. Eventually, her brother Crick landed in jail. Her sister Stella, eloped to marry a marine, when she was 16 years old. Fortunately, she returned to the family and confessed her marriage . She was unable to make them believe her. To the surprise of the family, one day Stella goes into labour!

The next day Dinnie began her “second life”. On the day following the birth of Stella’s baby, her mother’s sister Sandy and brother in law Max arrived. When Dinnie’s father was absent, they took Dinnie away, with the permission of her mother. Dinnie did not know were she was going and was unaware of the reason for the trip. They drove to the airport and boarded a flight. Dinnie was very confused. When they got on to the aeroplane Aunt Sandy told Dinnie that she was going to attend an international private school in Swizerland. Aunt Sandy was going to teach there and Uncle Max was going to be the principal.

Dinnie explores Lugano and finds exciting things to do. She wishes she was home with her family. When Dinnie attends the school she meets people from all over the world .In her school it is required for them to learn the Italian language. She makes friends with an American girl, Lila, an American boy, Guthrie, a Spanish girl, Belen and a Chinese boy, Keisuke. Unlike Dinnie, Lila has a very strong

In 1956, Benjamin Bloom co-created a tool to assist teachers and students develop a method of classification for behaviors that were believed to be crucial in the process of learning. He called this tool Bloom’s Taxonomy. The Taxonomy was subsequently divided into three domains: the cognitive, the affective, and the psychomotor (Coffey, 2013). Bloom’s Taxonomy was revised in 2001, so that it can better reflect the needs of the 21st century. The revised version of Bloom’s Taxonomy expanded to also incorporate healthcare professions(Coffey, 2013). This paper will explain Bloom’s Taxonomy and its application to managing patients with chronic diseases, in particular in the education of intellectual disabilities clients with diabetes living in the community.…

Trini and La Niña are the same age: 20, and have the same uncomplicated way of going about things, they simply go ahead and do them. The two girls also share the lack of a mother. During their trip, they share everything, including Olaf, a Russian who knows not a word of Spanish and with whom La Niña has an affair. They have a mutual letdown: Marilo. La Niña finds love and loses it, finds her mother to lose her again, but also finds a friend, Trini, whom she is certainly not about to lose. This is film is regarded by many critics as an enchanting road movie about being a woman, being young, love and frienship is the first directorial work by Iciar Bollain. In this opera prima, Iciar shows her ability to direct actors, especially her two leading actresses, but it is in her handling of a story told so many times before (two girlfriends on the road has been the theme everywhere, who can forget Thelma and Louise!) and thus making look so fresh and original that her directorial talent is revealed. She has managed to capture, not the loss of innocence, but the gaining of maturity, the moment when we learn which things we can change and which we cannot.…
