Blue Monologue
don’t know how to say this because I have zero experience in this kind of thing whatsoever, but I have had the biggest crush on you since like a week into me working here. Right away I thought you were super handsome and sort of funny and your laugh is like the best thing ever, but I was fine until you started teasing me about tripping on the mats. Since then as I’ve gotten to know you I’ve tried to think up flaws and reason why no; I don’t have a huge crush on him he drives me nuts. As I’ve gotten to know you more and more and seen what a just amazing guy you are it’s just gotten worse because not only are you smart, handsome, charming, sweet, hilarious but you also are just innately nice and caring about everyone. Your smile makes everyone …show more content…
You have introduced me to so many board games that I have gone to buy on amazon and then thought I can just play it with him and now I’ll have to buy all those games and I’ll probably go broke, but it’ll be worth it. You’re also kind of an amazing cook and that’s just impressive even though I’m slightly better at it... but I can teach you how to do that and you can teach me magic tricks. Honestly I could be doing anything with you and it would be fun. We could be cleaning out a storage closet and I’d be having fun if I got to do it with you. You have the best jokes and your sense of humor is so similar to mine even though mine is a little more pun and dad joke based and you roll your eyes a lot, but I’m hilarious and you know it. In summation, I completely adore you. Like I have never adored anyone ever and I’ve never said anything about it because you have a gf and I know you love her and at the end of the day I just want you to be happy and even though I’m completely devastated that you’re leaving I’m so proud of you for doing something that is kinda terrifying; I mean you’re moving across the country

Once a drastic change occurs in an individual’s life, they often find it difficult to relocate or recreate their state and situation before the alteration, thus, repeatedly struggle with what presents them in substitution. Red Woolen Misconceptions I am numb. The shrieks from the small children bounding around like molecules in a heated solution cut through the air, and despite this joyous sound, I am numb. My child will never be able to make that sound. My hand instinctively moves to caress my now flat stomach, a habit developed over the past six months as it grew.…

Step by wicked step, my boots sank further and further into the thick, red-tinged land as if the devil himself were dragging my body straight into the depths of hell. The rhythmic squelching stabbed through my rubber soles, radiating pain throughout my soul as it seared everything in its path. Squelch, squelch, squish. My tempo was interrupted by those cursed boots refusing to budge from the stubborn terrain. As if taunting me, the earth unhooked my feet from the damned soil…

I grew up with a Game Boy Color in my hands. No matter where I went, I always had the “Grape Purple” device loaded with any Pokemon game. My favorite was a copy of the Crystal version I bought with my allowance from a friend’s garage sale. He had failed to mention that the game didn’t save, but I fell in love with the whole experience of choosing a new starter that I just played it over and over again unbothered. It was the first time I had felt like I’d been transported to another world, and encountered the transcendental idea of fantasy.…

    Red Monologue

In the second grade, I had a crippling fear of my teacher, who loved to play, “Let's pick on all the students who aren’t raising their hands.” In my imagination, school was where carnivorous teachers scanned the classroom, looking to slaughter the most helpless creatures. And it seemed like this one had clear intentions of mounting my prized head on the wall. This meant that I suffered from a chronic case of rapid heartbeat, timid eye contact, and tense palms that left imprints of red crescent moons on my thighs.…

Sergeant Joseph, my partner, and I stand, nearly freezing, on the outside of two grand, blue-silk painted double doors. A neighbor of the resident living at this address had rang our office at an unwelcomed hour to alarm us of a “suspicious shriek,” as she called it, coming from this specific household. I could be at the station right now, reviewing over-due reports and snacking on the creamed cherry coated muffins form Ms. Clarisse down at the courthouse. (She always likes to spoil us.) Despite the depressing darkness of the night and ice cube envy of a temperature, old Jo and I figured it to be the responsible thing to do to check out the scene.…

I know you said you weren't trying to hurt me. I know you said you were trying to do this the best way you knew how. But when you stood there with your knife at my throat, and I begged you please, you still pressed it in. You heard me scream and beg, and you still dug deeper, until you couldn't hear me anymore. You could hear the blood gushing to the floor, the universe's way of saying you'd fucked up. But you'd already ripped out my throat, you couldn't go back from that.…
