Bokordetella Pertussis
Bordetella Pertussis organism that that causes whooping cough. Bordetella Pertussis is transmitted person to person by respiratory droplets. The bacteria attached to the cookies in the respiratory tract and release its toxins which damage the cilia and causes the airway to swell. Bordetella Pertussis is highly contagious and can also be passed in small areas such as small living quarters. Bordetella often affect newborns and infants most. The older individuals are normally the ones to carry it, but never know their carrying the disease until about two weeks after the cough begins.
