Book Summary: Blood With Fire

Blood with fire can symbolize many things to the world, but to Haiti it means something special. The words wings of fire are brought up in the book, especially in section 1937. This can be compared to the legendary bird of fire the phoenix who rise from the ashes after burning to its death. “She glowed red when she came out, blood clinging to her skin, which at that moment looked as though it were in flames.” pg 42.
