Books Are Deadly As Weapons Analysis

As this year comes to an end, I can look back and see how I have grown as a writer. At the beginning of the year, I was very unthoughtful and did not think much about what I was writing. Many of my mistakes were silly errors due to my lack of focus. In the first sentence of my revised paper, I wrote, “ Ray bradbury a world where all his characters’ think books are a deadly as weapons”. Going back and look at this makes me want to pull my hair out. After the changes, the sentence ended up making sense, “ Ray Bradbury describes a world where all of his characters think books are as deadly as weapons”. The difference between the two sentences is crazy. Another one of my weaknesses, is coming up with a claim. I never felt like I was able to get
a grip on a good claim. Even after revising this paper, I do not feel like I was able to improve my claim. It also did not help that I do not remember the book that well. Even though I was not able to improve my claim, I was able to improve my tenses and grammar. After reading over my original copy, and then ready my revised paper, the difference is astronomical. As a writer overall, I feel like I need to improve on my book reports in general. I need to specifically work on my claim, and analyzing quotes. However, I feel like I have improved on my grammar and sentence structure. Overall, I feel that I am slowly growing as a writer. In the next couple years I would like to improve on my introduction paragraphs as well as my supporting paragraphs. Overall I felt like this year has put me on track to becoming an excellent writer.
