of a mother and wife and the impact, both negative and positive, her actions have on her husband and two young children.
The memoir, also addresses the financial burden that the cost of therapy places on the individual. Ms. Reiland concedes to the notation that therapy is her career and is unable to financially contribute to the household expenses during her period of recovery. Throughout her four year path to recovery, she was fortunate to receive financial support from her parents to maintain household expenses, cover cost related to hospitalization and therapy; as well as having the support of her husband who was the primary breadwinner for the family. Ms. Reiland writes about her battles with the insurance company to cover expenses related to her mental health treatment, her limited number of therapy visits covered through insurance, and the struggle this creates on her and her husband to cover her $120.00 per hour three times a week therapy sessions.
