Speaking to the Telegraph on Saturday, Brad Pitt expressed his views on religion and recalled how he was raised as a Southern Baptist by his father. However, he grew up as an atheist because of the “Christian guilt” instilled in him, according to Breitbart.
The Hollywood actor said he chose not to stick to any religion later on in life due to the Christian guilt which always dictated what he should and should not do. In 2007, Pitt told Parade in an interview how he would feel the same emotion when he was touched by the Holy Spirit during Christian revivals and when he went to rock concerts.
“I’d go to Christian revivals and be moved by the Holy Spirit, and I’d go to rock concerts and feel the same fervor,” Breitart quotes Pitt’s statement to Parade. “Then I’d be told, ‘That’s the Devil’s music! His father, Bill Pitt, who managed a trucking business in Springfield, Missouri, always reminded him to preserve his integrity and develop his ability to do things for himself. His mother used to work as a family counselor, the International Business Times reports.

Despite their difference in religious belief, Brad Pitt thinks they are doing great in the parenting department. He says his wife and six kids have made him a better person and helped him excel in his career even
