Bread History
Bread has been the most common food in our daily lives for at least 30,000 years. The first bread was invented by an Egyptian slave, who uses flour and water to make cake for the master, around 2600 BC. One night, he put the cake into the oven, and he fell asleep. The fire was gone out, so the dough was ferment, and the dough was twice bigger on the next day morning. He was panic, and then he just baked the fermented dough. However, the cake turned out soft and fluffy. That is become to the first bread in the history. With the development of the food, there are thousands varieties of bread. It can be divided into different types by color, ingredient, and country.

French bread, thousands of years old, was beginnings in the middle of the 19th century. It was original baked in a dry oven, and then people stated to use steam oven to control the temperature and baking time. There are lots of different typed of French bread, such as, baguettes, epi, croissant, and brioche. French bread has a soft, chewy center and crispy crust.
In addition, soda bread, popular type of bread in Europe, originated from Ireland. The first soda bread showed in the middle of the 19th century. In the U.S., soda bread was first publicized by Amelia Simmons. The most popular soda breads are Irish brown soda bread and whole wheat soda bread. The traditional soda bread has a dry and international favorite.
On the other hand, Asia has different kinds bread. Bing, the most common bread in China, was imperial food in Song Dynasty. The original bing is made by flour, water, and salt, and cooked on griddle. Now, there are about hundreds types of bing, such as, congyou bing(scallions and oil), jian bing(fried egg thin pancake), and yue bing(moon cake). Bing is usually about centimeter thick, and it has doughy and chewy texture
