Breaking Dawn Log
Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer

“Fire and ice, somehow existing together without destroying each other. More proof that I belonged with him.” -Bella Cullen, p. 237 This quote means how different Bella and Edward were my many standards, but how they were still in love with each other even if they were almost complete opposites. Many say that something can't exist without their being something to contrast with it therefore balancing each other out and making each other whole. That's mostly what Bella is thinking when she says,"Fire and ice, somehow existing together without destroying each other..."

“My life and his were twisted into a single strand. Cut one, and you cut both. If he were gone, I would not be able to live through that. If I were gone, he wouldn't live through it, either.” -Bella Cullen, p.490 During this quote Bella was thinking about her existence being tied with Edwards and how if he were to die then she would not be able to live without him or vise vera. What this means to me is that if someone was in love enough with someone to not want to be without them then they must have a love that only few can possess.

“And then I saw the way he looked at her... like he was a blind man, seeing the sun for the very first time.” -Bella Cullen, p. 316 During this quote Bella saw Jacob look at Reneseme for the first time since she had woken up, and she sees the intensity of just how much he looks at her. She starts to see just how much Jacob really did care about Reneseme because he "he looked at her...like he was a blind man, seeing the sun for the very first time." She sees nothing but the sight of love is his eyes just almost as bright as someone seeing the sun for the first time.

In the play a Midsummer Night's Dream written by William Shakespeare, there are many lovers that are drawn to each other in various ways. One can fall in love at any age. The definition of love is a deep affection for someone or something. In the Shakespeare's play the three pairs of lovers encounter issues where Oberon instructs Puck to sprinkle "love juice" on an Athenian man's eyes. However, he did it to the wrong man, and the other lovers started turning on their loved ones and showing love and affection for another; in Titania's case it was an ass. While reclining with Titania, Bottom states the quote," reason and love keep little company nowadays". This quote is very significant to how love worked in the play and even in normal teenage life today. The quote is greatly signified by Garrett and Caroline, who both liked each other in high school but could not find reason of why.…

Both texts imply that there will be difficulties as the relationships are established. Charlotte Bronte presents a flourishing relationship between Jane and Mr Rochester; this is evident when Mr Rochester says ‘“My cherished preserver good night!” Strange energy was in his voice. Strange fire in his look.’ Charlotte Bronte uses passionate language to display the development of love between Jane and Mr Rochester. The word “cherished” underlines Mr Rochester genuine and tender feelings towards her. Charlotte Bronte has also used the word “fire” to describe the look in Mr Rochester’s eyes, Bronte has deliberately used this metaphor to symbolise the growing passion, developing between Jane and him. By this point, readers begin to feel and see the developing passion between Mr Rochester and Jane. Bronte gradually establishes the growing passion between the two, as within the ideologies of the Victorian era, Mr Rochester would have been expected to marry someone of his own social class; due to this Bronte challenges the Victorian reader to consider marriage outside a particular social class.…

The author basically says that love can be described in different ways, depending on the person's mood at that point in time. In paragraph 3, the author states "even murder is forgivable if it was "a crime of passion."" The piece of evidence that was stated means love can be a very descriptive word. Love can also have different reasoning and/or meaning. Love can be so strong that even countries think that it's okay to commit a murder because the person was "so in love". Quotes were put on so in love because sometimes people don't even be in love with one another. The author's statement is very agreeable because the fact that love can have different meanings, shows and determines how love can affect a person's emotions and…

Like the horizon, it is far off to the distance and it can never be touched, but you can still feel the warmth of the setting sun. Janie at first thought she understood and captured her happiness when Joe Starks, her second husband, a well suited gentleman enters her life, she leaves her previous husband and Joe and Janie ride off onto “the boarding house porch and saw the sun plunge into the same crack in the earth from which the night emerged” (Hurston, 33). Janie believes Joe was her carriage ride to happiness as they rode down towards the horizon and wed. It is true, Joe did treat Janie fairly as he bought her a life of luxury by coming to Eatonville and making a Mayor out of himself. However, he secluded her from society’s interaction and hid her in his shadows and therefore Janie lost her happiness and her will power to speak her mind. Janie has concluded that she “hates disagreement and confusion, so [she] better not talk. It makes it hard tuh git along” (Hurston, 57). She has hushed her lips and let the talking be talked by her husband. Janie’s happiness has diminished into a thin ray over the horizon. One the contrary, Emerson once said, “trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string” (Emerson, 78). Emerson is referring the iron string to knowledge, and how knowledge is a part of every person, but some people choose to not listen to…

The main significance of this passage is that it shows the theme of love. Elizabeth loves Victor with her entire being, quite simply put. This is a common theme in this novel, love. Victor shows love to many of the people in his life, including his parents, his siblings, Justine Moritz, Henry, and, of course, Elizabeth. However, the people that he love tend to die. His mother dies early in the novel, his brother William is murdered by the Creature, Justine is executed for Williams murder, and Henry is murdered by the monster. All of these deaths of the people Victor loves, and who love him, may foreshadow Elizabeth’s death, which does come by the hands of the monster in the next chapter.…

“There are people out there who have a much harder life than I do, and all I can say to them is that they are much stronger than I. To those of you with abusive parents, or school bullies, to the people out there with money problems or fear of the future, to the women with cheating husbands and the men with whoring wives, to the children who think that their lives aren’t worth living, I say to you; keep moving forward. For my sake, and the sake of those who fell to their own hands before me, for the sake of the people who thought life was too scary… keep living!…

The quote “Love conquers all things except poverty and toothache” by Mae West, has few meanings. Some think this means love can conquer anything they want except being poor and getting a toothache. Others may think different and think love is just something that may help make it better but it can not help poverty or a toothache. Everyone has his own opinion’s. Not every one of them are wrong or right. Some prefer love and some do not. Love is not always found with someone, it can always be found with something. People can love one another but people can also love sports, animals, and hobbies also. People hate both poverty and toothaches but you can not always just get rid of them right away. It takes time. When one finds love it can help with…
