Rocky Mountain Oysters are a lot different than what they sound like. I was expecting some type of oyster obviously, but that’s not what I got. My grandpa handed me one and told me to eat it. Naturally, I asked him, “What is it?” He wouldn’t say a word but he made me eat it. It surprisingly tasted really good! After I ate the whole thing I proceeded to ask him what it was. I already knew the name, but I didn’t know what kind of fried food I was actually eating. Turns out I was eating the private parts of a bull. For a minute, when he said that, I thought my grandpa was joking, but then I realized this was no joke. I was a little befuddled, but everyone else was eating them so it seemed normal. I went on to have a couple more and called it good. I think the experience opened me up to trying new foods, which is something I’m actually thankful for. As a whole, disrupting my comfort zone was a good experience. Both pole vaulting and rock mountain oysters are ordeals I’m glad to have endured. They both gave me knowledge and experience. Brian Grazer is an interesting man because of his new escapades. He learns so much different stuff that helps him in every day activities. He’s constantly learning and growing as a person all because he frequently disrupts his comfort zone. If society today did just a little bit more outside their comfort zone, I believe all would
