Bumble is: (a) Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-III (WAIS-III) to assess his intelligence and cognitive functions. The scoring indicates the severity of intellectual disability (score below 69) or if the individual is gifted (scores above 130) individual is gifted (Axelroda el at., 2001). (b) Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Test –II (MMPI-II) was used to asses for personality disorders and psychopathology. When evaluating the scores, high scores indicates psychiatric disorders and low scores indicates the individual’s personality. (c) Rorschach Inkblot Test (Exner scoring system) assess the defendant’s the psychological functioning (e.g. degree of introversion or extraversion, level of anxiety, suicide etc.). (d) Bender Motor Gestalt Test and Bender Motor Gestalt Test-Immediate Recall assess for development delay (e.g. visual-motor functioning, visual-perceptual skills, neurological impairment, emotional disturbances, and memory storage and retrieval problems) in children and adult. The first concern is the forensic psychologist was requested to determine if Mr. Bumble was competent to stand trial, as well as for a mental health diagnoses. With this being said, the forensic psychologist was functioning in a dual-relationship. According to the Specialty Guidelines for Forensic Psychologist (APA, 2015) section 4.02 Multiple Relationship- states the forensic psychologist is practicing two different roles with the same client. Therapeutic-Forensic Role Conflicts (4.02.01) states performing in the manner of both the forensic psychologist and proving therapeutic services to the same client is a dual relationship which can impair objectivity, as a result causing exploitation or harm to the client (APA, 2015). With this being said, the forensic psychologist should have contacted the attorney to clarify their role in the case.
