This is a story about a child named Todd Houzer. Todd lived with his mother, his father, and his little sister and brother. Every monday-thursday, he went to school. His life was perfect… that was until friday afternoon. That single friday would change Todd’s life. He woke up one afternoon after his nap, only to see he had turned into a red fox. “Huh … WHAT THE HECK” yelled Todd. tod was frightened that he turned into such a majestic creature. He didn’t know that he had the DNA of a fox. This would also open up a world of possibilities. “Maybe I won’t have to go to school, I maybe can go outside more often, or… I COULD UNDERSTAND OTHER FOXES!!!” he shouted. He felt scared, but also exited. He went outside the next day to play with foxes that lived in Todd’s yard. …show more content…

“Welcome to our den new fox. What’s your name?” said another fox. “Uhh… i’m Todd Houzer.” said Todd. “We’ll show you to the alpha of our pack. Oh and i’m Donovan” said Donovan. When Todd & Donovan were going to see the alpha, Todd remembered something. In the flashback he remembered his father talking on the phone with the EXTERMINATOR. So when he got to the alpha’s den, Todd said “YOU GUYS NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!!! THERE’S GONNA BE AN EXTERMINATOR”. “How can you be sure?” asked the alpha fox. “Well… my mom & dad are… humans” said Todd. “how can a fox’s parents be human? HOW”. “I was once a hum…”. The alpha fox interrupted Todd and said “you cannot be a human if you’re a fox. It’s just impossible”. “But it is possible. I might have the DNA of a fox inside of me.” said Todd. “That makes sense now” said the alpha. “What should we do about the exterminator?” asked the alpha. “ we have 2 options” said Todd. “1. We can fight the exterminator, or 2 we could run away. It has to be one of those 2 options”.

It’s a normal day for the Frost fox; the grey colored animal is asleep in its den twenty feet underground. Currently, it is below freezing and the fox is trying to get some well deserved rest. As the fox slowly opens its dark brown, almost black, eyes and wags it’s long extremely fluffy tail, the fox was waking up. The wind whistled outside as the fox ever so slowly crawled from its den. The fox stretches its small body and rubs its white belly on the ground. The fox’s short, skinny, fluffy legs stretch and the fox yawns letting its pink tongue slip out of its mouth. It’s large ears slowly point six inches in the air and then point back as it stretches. As it stretches the twinkle in the fox’s eyes becomes visible. It’s large, but small, paws…

“Ugh!”, he grunts from how large the suitcase is. “Will you be able to carry that, Scottie?” she says, her face, worn from time, twists with concern for her son. “Of course”, he laughs. “Okay, if you’re sure.” She says as she opens the metal gate to the front yard. They slowly walk through the cracked pathway until they reach the steps to the porch. Beatrice opens the sturdy door with her keys. “Honey, I’m home!” Scottie yells into the empty living room. “Must you do that every time you come inside the house?” She says fondly. “Of course, I must.” He says as if she should already have known the answer. While they were talking, Alice and Jake, Scottie’s younger siblings, heard his announcement and excitedly ran out of their room and down the beige stairs. “Stop making all that racket!” she admonishes her children. “SCOTTIE!” they yell out enthusiastically. “You’re home!” Alice states, full of wonder that her big older brother is finally back where he belongs. “Well, it’s obvious that I’m home unless I’m an imposer who’s secretly an alien”, He jokes, winking at Alice. “I definitely didn’t miss your humor,” Jake lightheartedly says. “Oh, come on, I tell the best jokes”, Scottie says smiling. “Yeah right, in your dreams”, Jake jokingly teases. “Leave your brother alone for right now. He had a long trip and he’s probably exhausted.” Beatrice gently tells to her…
