INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of the Study
Modern English, sometimes described as the first global lingua franca is the dominant language or in some instances even the required international language of communications, science, information technology, business, seafaring, aviation, entertainment, radio, and diplomacy, etc. also beside modern English there are some people use Broken English to communicate with other person. In this research, the researcher research Broken English used in YouTube especially in comment section.
YouTube is a video sharing website, created by three former PayPal employees in February 2005, on which user can upload, view and share videos. YouTube is worldwide media entertainment using by many people spread all over the world. Many people used it to share his/her experience, creativity, news, also review of something (movies, games, etc), while other user of YouTube can comment or share his/her opinion via comment section which is provided by YouTube.
Comment section of YouTube has characteristic: 1. Users of YouTube can comment everything as she/he want related or unrelated with the videos she/he watch in YouTube, 2. People who upload his/her video in YouTube can banned/flag the comments as a spam, 3. There are no limitations of language in comment section of YouTube, user can use his/her native language to comment to the videos, 4. The comments from other users can be like or dislike by other users by clicking on thumbs up or thumbs down button.
The researcher found it very interesting to analyzing Broken English used by users of YouTube and describe users who using Broken English via comment section of YouTube by using sources from videos in YouTube created by JacksFilms and other video in YouTube called Teen React of JacksFilms. 1.2 Problem of the Study
