McDonald Background Information
McDonalds is a fast food restaurant that serves customers with food and refreshments. McDonald’s also has a drive-thru where you stop at a window whilst in a vehicle and order their food, they are known for this because it gives a fast service. They are world-wide with over 3000 branches and franchises making over 4.9 billion dollars after expenses such as revenue. They serve 69million customers on average everyday according to the MC Donald’s annual report 2012.

McDonald’s purpose is to make a profit and be the leading fast food restaurant all over the world.
Aims & Objectives
Aims are goals set for a business that are achievable over a period of time, objectives are small goals set to make the aim possible. The objective of McDonalds, which is a fast food restaurant, is to be the world’s best quick service restaurant experience. They also aim at being the best establishment by providing outstanding quality, service, cleanliness and value.
Sector
Private sector is a business or organisation that is ran by individuals for a profit. Public sector is a business or organisation ran by the government for no profit, these organisations are part of voluntary sector. Voluntary Sector is the sphere of social activity that lets the community join in and bring them closer, it is also non-governmental and not for a profit.
McDonalds is in the tertiary group. This means that it provides a service to the public for a profit. However if a problem occurs in the primary or the secondary stage, McDonalds will suffer. Therefore they will receive lower profits and will have difficulty selling the food. The raw materials that McDonalds get are extracted from meat and milk from animals and grain and fruit from farming.
