“Do you want to build a snowman?” If you do all you need to do is follow this since guide to building a snowman made by Dr. Gabriel Bugler professional in the science behind building snowmen and a million dollar critique on snowmen, with my help you’ll be building the most perfect and luxurious snowmen this world has ever seen. Building a snowman can be a lot of fun but it’s also a lot of work are require the most ideal conditions. The conditions in which we’ll require Mother Nature to provide ever since Odin the deviant killed all the ice giants. So, firstly we need conditions in which only Professionals such as I can tell are ideal, we’ll need …show more content…
snow not the slush that’s provided at the beginning of winter but fine crystalized snow that you can find on the ground, it’ll have very similar qualities to that of chocolate chip cookie dough in the way it may clump together. This will be the perfect snow to create a god-tier snowman that the world shall envy; your snowman will consist of three large bundles of snow that we’ll require to roll together. With this snow on the ground you’ll begin to see sub-zero temperatures in Canada since it’s winter, you’ll need to bundled up with a Canadian level thick winter jacket that will allow you to survive the cold and enjoy your time outside, these jackets are made to deflect and repel the wet and cold that the snow wants to slather you with eternal suffering, so to prevent this issue please wear a coat, and a set of warm waterproof gloves and a hat to maintain a survivable temperate. Ready with this equipment we can now begin the process of creating a beautiful snowman. The steps to this are fairly simple all you have to do is follow closely to preform them perfectly. First grab some snow on the ground and begin to roll the snow until a suitable and ball is formed. Placing this snowball into the fresh snow on the ground and rolling it you will begin to note that it is growing larger and larger. This is essential as you will need a large ball for the base of the snowman which is large enough that it will support to more balls on top of itself but not so large that you will be unable to add the last ball onto it. The next ball can be created much in the same way as the first with a small ball being pushed in the snow until a medium sized snowball is formed. This should also be light enough that you can lift it while being heavy enough and dense enough that it won’t buckle under the weight of the final snowball. When it meets these criteria it is time to place it on the other snowball. Lifting from the knees and being careful of your back is essential.
It is ok to ask for help and most times it is much more fun to build a snowman with friends. It is a time to laugh and have fun while enjoying the beauty of the winter season and remembering the excitement of your childhood. Back to the times when eagerly you would charge outside with friends eager to meet the challenge of snowmen building. You would jostle and playfully toss snow at each other in the hopes of a snowball fight or a good time. It was a time of carefree attitudes and joyous living in the moment. It was a time still treasured by those who experienced …show more content…
it. When you are secure that you have placed the ball onto the other and that it is firmly held in place you can add snow around the base making sure to compress it against the joint of the two separate balls effectively sealing the seal. Gravity will do the rest and with that you can move onto the next snowball. This is the final snowball and will be the head of the newly made snow masterpiece.
Rolling together a snowball of approximately half the size of the middle ball it is important to try and make a mostly even shape. This is the head and will be the most decorated part of the snowman. Taking the time to smooth it out you may then haul it onto the middle section, or torso, of your snowman. Repeat the action of compacting in snow to the cracks of the joining snowballs and smoothing them out will cohesively seal the three separate pieces into the form of the distinctive snowman. Now comes the fun part, decorating the snowman. This is where you can go inside and gather a few familiar favorites such as Coal which you may find in a garage beside the grill that has been put away for the season, coal is ideal for making perfect eyes as well the most ideal buttons for our imaginary coat that our snowman will be wearing. The black color sticks out starkly against the snow and is a holiday favorite. A rookie would use stones in this scenario but that makes it seem childish and foolhardy, coal is a necessity if you don’t have any you can make your way to your local hardware store and buy a
bag. Collect some older markers, a carrot for the nose which is neither two long or twisted and head back outside. Take the tip of the marker to the clear white snow and move the marker in a circle to create eyes of your favorite colors. This will make a unique snowman which will leave other snowman makers jealous of the innovation of your own snowman, when you are satisfied with the eyes, mouth and buttons. Collect the carrot and firmly press it to the center of the snowman’s head. Sometimes carrots break due to the firmness of the packed snow and there can be two ways to combat this. Firstly you must poke a hole into your snowman’s face, the ideal hole size is slightly the first is to poke a hole into the middle of the snowman’s face which is neither too big nor small. The ideal hole will be smaller than the base of your carrot nose to make sure for a firm hold when the snow particles freeze overnight. If this is your method of attack use a thumb for good control and a firmer pressing tool then a finger and after being sure it is smaller than the base press the carrot to the hole twisting it slightly while applying pressure and the nose will screw into starter hole and hold firm for the remainder of the snowman’s life. With nose, eyes, buttons and mouth in place it is time to move onto the arms of the snowman. Typically this is made using the branches of nearby hedges or trees to make two firmly attached arms. Using the same push method you will attach these arms to the middle section or torso of the snowman however you can ensure they stay in place by taking small sections of snow and pressing them to the joints of the snowman. The final touches which are normal for a snowman are completely optional; you can take an old hat or scarf and place them atop and around the neck of our snowman secured in place with a lazy fashion that would also prevent it from blowing away with the winter winds. With these final touches you will now have a competition ready snowman that will force everyone who lays their eyes upon it to envy, allowing you to admire your work from the comforts of inside until the warm spells of spring come once again sending frosty to a wintery and watery grave, but do not fear, it will only be another years coming before you have another chance to recreate frosty in all of his glory using your now expertise skills in creating a snowman in which everyone can admire and enjoy.
