Seven rules for Backstabbers: The second scenario applying the seven rules to backstabbers is similar, but has its issues because unlike bullies, backstabbers are anonymous with their hostility, but if they are identified the same process pretty much still applies: like assessing the situation, look in the mirror, befriend, unhook, set expectations, get help, divorce and still provide guidelines for constructive responses to inappropriate behavior.
