Bully: A Significant Experience Analysis
The significant experience that has special meaning to me is when I was bullied in third grade. It was the most horrible and lonely time for me but it helped me get to where am I today. Almost eight years had passed and I'm rather thankful that I was bullied because it brought the very best out of me.
That very experienced shaped how I look at people around me I learned so many things through it. Looking back, it was also the time where I slowly found myself.
I was bullied for so many reasons. I was poor, ugly, and dumb. They also thought that I was a liar and mentally ill. No one wants to be friends with me except this one person who used to bully me when we were in first grade.
I still remember a few situations where I just wanted to cry.

Life is comprised of a series of learning profound learning experiences. On that stands out occurred last year in seventh grade. Two friends and I decided we wanted to try something new, to learn how to play basketball! We made that decision mainly because we wanted to do an activity together for the winter term, and seventh graders didn't have the option of doing the winter school play. We were very hesitant; only one of us had any experience playing basketball, and we didn't think it would be very fun to run up and down a court trying to get a ball in a hoop. Still we kept an open mind and began to learn how to play.…

I recently read a dictionary’s definition of the verb ‘bully’ as “[to] use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force him or her to do what one wants.” (MW Dict.) The article titled “Defining Bullying Down” by Emily Bazelon describes how the issue of bullying will never be solved if we continue to describe such a wide array of behaviors as bullying. Bazelon states that since it’s common to label everything from schoolyard teasing to harassment and intense violence as bullying, we can’t teach victims and bystanders how to stop it. Studies have shown that the best way to stop bullying is to deem it unacceptable. By shaming the behavior itself, we embarrass the perpetrator so they will think twice before doing…

The school had two large maple trees one on each side with a large flag pole in the front. The back of the school had a large playground in one corner of the field and three brownish beige coloured portables in the other which were used by some of the grade six classes. I always wanted to have a class in one, but everyone said that they were always too cold or to hot, or that they smelt weird. It was the first day of school and I was very excited my teacher was extremely nice and I made many friends. We had three breaks a day each an hour long that was when I first started to get bullied. There are many types of bullying such as verbal, and cyber bullying mine was physical. This usually included pushing, tripping, and throwing things at me. I didn’t get why someone would want to hurt others and then laugh about it later. This made me feel confused and scared like I was trapped in a small dark box without knowing how to get out or what was going to happen next. I spent most of grade one with my sister and her friends to avoid the bullies. As I moved on to the second grade I had to find a new way to deal with the bullies now that my sister had graduated and had moved on to middle…

There are four types of bullying: physical bullying, verbal bullying, cyberbullying, and indirect bullying. Everyone deserves to have a fun time at school and spend time with your friends. School should not be somewhere you are terrified of going, but a place you go to succeed and learn. It is an unacceptable behavior that can lead to death. Protect your children and loved ones. Teach them to ignore and move on. Bullying is a main issue in the United States and it may not seem as a huge deal now, but it will be when your own kids are the…

A memorable moment that I experienced was when I received my first black eye. At that time I was at the age of eleven. This experience occurred one day after school and my siblings and I were on our way home from school. I don’t remember much of what had happened that day because of an incident, but I remember bits and pieces of it. Every teenager loved their Fridays and this day is one that I’ll always remember. One beautiful Fall afternoon my two other siblings and I had arrived at our bus stop. I was sitting in a seat with a friend from school and my brother and sister were sitting next to ours. We all stood from our seats and casually walked off from the bus. I noticed my brother and sister ran in front of the bus and was ahead of me by a few steps. So I had to quickly wave to one of my friends on the bus and hurry back towards them. I scurried towards my siblings not even aware of where I was looking and as the bus started to drive off, I decided to turn around and to watch the bus drive off. I quickly turned around for my house and as I simultaneously raised my head to look in which direction I was heading and I happened to run into stop sign pole. I immediately began crying and quickly covered my left eye because of the blood was dripping down from my eyebrow to my face. My sister heard and seen me crying and was also stunned on what to do so she looked at my brother to come help. As he approached me, he took off his jacket and told me to use his jacket to cover my eye. My siblings were guiding me home. I noticed my eye stopped bleeding, so I used my brother’s jacket to wipe the blood on my…

For countless generations children have been teasing, harassing, bullying one another, sometimes in fun, sometimes in deadly earnest, to the amusement, horror or indifference of others, whether they be parents, teachers or other children. The current dictionary definition acknowledges two modes and four types of bullying. The two modes are direct and indirect; the four types are physical, verbal, relational, and cyber. Even though bullying are not the exact causes of a death, they can at times be the breaking point for an individual going through a rough time. Many times not much is done after these incidents happen.…

The most significant experience of my life would be what I am going through right now. I had gotten a car for Christmas from my parents that was 15 years old but is a very sporty little car that has a lot of life left in it. About a month after I got it, I had just been to see my girlfriend for a few minutes after work late one Friday night and was on my way home. While I was driving home, I was all alone in my car and there was not another car to be seen on the open highway and I wanted so bad to see how fast my car would go. So, not using my brain, I floored my car and took off flying! It felt absolutely amazing at that moment when I hit 100 miles per hour and kept right on going.…

The first, and most recent, and most meaningful experience to come to my mind was the birth of my children. The realization of my hopes and dreams, the humble sense of pride and joy that comes from seeing your seed germinate into this beautiful word. I remembered the fear and anxiety of the everlasting hours in the cold sterile delivery room, and then I thought that the birth of my children signifies the beginning of a new stage in my life. My children have been giving a new meaning to my life every single day since their birth. I try to better myself for them, I try to teach them right from wrong, I comfort them and love them more than I have ever loved anything or anybody.…
