GBA 300 Assignment Five: Evaluating a Website
Instructions:
You are to write a short essay (3 to 4 well-written paragraphs) evaluating the website Globalwarming.org. http://www.globalwarming.org/ . This assignment is to check your skills at evaluating the site.
You are to determine if this site is a good source of information about the topic of global warming, useful for a scholarly paper, or a bad source of information about the topic of global warming, not useful for a scholarly paper. Part of your grade will be based on your determination. Explain your decision in your essay using the website for examples.
Note: In your evaluation, you must use at least five criteria from the notes. Do not rely on one aspect alone. Five Criteria: Domain, Authority, Currency, Links/Reference/Cited Sources, URL’s Root Address, Compare for Accuracy, and Intent.

Globalwarming.org is the blog for the Cooler Heads Coalition, who was formerly a sub-group of the National Consumer Coalition. Globalwarming.org blog is use to run informal and ad-hoc group focused on dispelling the myths of global warming by exposing flawed economic, scientific, and risk analysis. The Coalition members will also follow the progress of the international Global Climate Change Treaty negotiations. The Website is also an ad hoc coalition for more than two dozen free market and conservative non-profit groups in the U. S. and abroad that question global warming alarmism and oppose energy-rationing policies.
GlobalWarming.org is one of the Coalition’s principal educational outreach tool activities. Globalwarming.org uses .org domains which are designated for non-profit organizations.
