Time management is the act or process of planning and exercising conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase effectiveness, efficiency or productivity. Time management may be aided by a range of skills, tools, and techniques used to manage time when accomplishing specific tasks, projects and goals complying with a due date and balancing life overall. Time management strategies are often associated with the recommendation to set personal goals. These goals are recorded and may be broken down into a project, an action plan, or a simple task list. For individual tasks or for goals, an importance rating may be established, deadlines may be set, and priorities assigned. Furthermore, there are essentially four theorists that employed these methods of becoming successful in a timely manner, which are Adair, Masterton, Lewin, Schein and Feldman’s Power Learning Strategies. These four methods that were developed by these theorists have allowed me to effectively manage my time during the present year in revising for exams. Kurt Lewin (1948) who employed the Force Field Analysis developed a three level model which can help an individual make changes to their personal and business life.
