From a sports perspective, the Red Sox always schedule a home series during race weekend. The process culminates with a day game on Monday that ends in the early afternoon. As fans spill out of Fenway Park, they make their way to the marathon course and join the already tens of thousands of spectators that line the course just a few blocks from the baseball stadium. Often times, the Red Sox players themselves turn into fans and cheer on runners, which only adds to an already special race-day…

The strength of the economy as a whole could affect the marginal benefits and the marginal costs associated with a decision to purchase a home by the market itself. If the market is in “good condition”, it can lead to a good house hunting experience because rates are at normal. If the market seems to be down as it currently is, there may be some pits and downfalls, but rates are then low, causing house buyers to have more options and selections when purchasing a home. Some home buyers feel that it is in times of recession to buy a home because more money is saved. When there is economic growth, more money is spent on buying a home. And to that, government changes in costs toward buying homes or changes in the economy already affect this great change. Costs will either go higher, or they will stay steady (though rare, but sometimes true). However, other factors such as taxes are implemented. In some home areas, property taxes are very high so that at the end of the year, one will really reconsider their housing in that…

Going to a game in Fenway is a smorgasbord of delightful feelings. Even the walk up to the ballpark is some thing to behold. Walking with hundreds of passionate fans, all decked out in their red sox T-shirts, jerseys, and of coarse that iconic navy hat with the red B on it. I feel like I belong there with this organized group of strangers. There is such a since of family as I see people from the “T” car I was on and chatted with. A few hundred yards ahead I could hear a “Lets Go Red Sox” chant as people around me began to join in it became more enticing to do so myself. After all this was my team, our team, and this was our year! That was the constant attitude of a Sox fan. Just as the team would look like they were primed to make a push for the World Series they would lose in heartbreaking fashion and mostly to the hands of the damn Yankees.…
